Playlist Thursday

I love, love, love Pavement Runner's post idea so much that I'm going to join in on the Thursday fun!

Here are his simple instructions:

Every Thursday will be a list of 3 songs that can, or should be, added to your workout playlist.

The format is:

Something Old: These will be songs that are at least 5 years old. I know that isn’t too long to be considered old, but music turnover happens quickly.
Something Current: These will be songs that have been released within the past year. I know, but you have to give me some leeway here.
Something to Consider: These will be songs that are not typically heard on the radio and may be by artists you’ve never heard of or considered running to. This is the wild card category, can be old or current.

Before each song include: Artist, Title, Side Note: (Anything you want to say about the song) Quotable: (line from the song)
This week's theme is Dance-ability:
I swear I took these directly from the playlist on my iPod. :) There's a wide variety of stuff on there, so it was hard to pick just 3 for this.

Something Old:
Artist: Dirty Vegas
Title: Days Go By
Side Note: This doesn't seem that old, but its from 2001. This song picks me up and carries me along when I'm dragging while running or getting a good rhythm going for kettlebell swings. It has a nice steady beat, my favourite part of the song is the instrumental after the quotable.
Quotable: "Days go by and still I think of you, Days when I couldn't live my life without you"

Something Current:
Artist: LMFAO
Title: Party Rock Anthem
Side Note: At the risk of my teenage tastes coming out, I admit I like this song!
Quotable: "Shake that, everyday I'm shufflin'"

Something to Consider:
Artist: Elvis Presley vs JXL
Title: A Little Less Conversation
Side Note: A great song from a great man with a modern twist. I love what JXL did with this one.
Quotable: "A little more bite and a little less bark, a little less fight and a little more spark"

What have you got on your playlist that have you bustin' a move in your workouts?
